Ferco Aerospace Group is Hiring a Tool Maker Near Franklin, OH

Ferco is on the hunt for the absolute best Tool Maker in the Midwest. You’re humble about your skills, but deep down you know your work is to be prized and admired. You’re the type of machinist that measures five times and cuts once. You’re a creative craftsman that falls into a silent focus on the task at hand. Working is better than talking and working with sloppy posers gets under your skin.

At Ferco each job poses a unique and interesting puzzle to solve. We need a strong machinist and someone with a deep knowledge of working with exotic materials to weld this department together. You’ll be responsible for handling the toughest of the tough, but you’ll also be responsible for sharing your craft and trade with a small group of like-minded team members. It will be your studio of artisans to pass on a timeless craft, one project at a time.

The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following and possess the following

Build, repair and maintain dies, tooling and fixtures to support production.
Set up and operate all tool room equipment.
Assist production with problem solving on tooling issues.
Ability to multi-task
Good work ethic
Self-starter
Willing to lean
Good attendance
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience working as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment

Position Demands

Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
Able to successfully pass vision screens
Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects.
